This project has the community engagement team undertaking strategic networking and collaboration activities to enhance community engagement across the region.

Facilitating Feedback, Monitoring and Evaluation

This project facilitates the development and maintenance of communication/feedback channels from the community to BDTNRM including feedback specifically for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

Supporting Activities Of Other Stakeholders

This project supports and adds value to the activities of other stakeholders. This support may include resources, materials, and sponsorhip.

Identifying and Understanding Community Groups and Organisations

This project identifies the location, membershop, key activities and area of influence of NRM community based groups and organisations in the Burdekin Dry Tropics Region and provides a system to readily access this information.

Supporting Community NRM Groups

This project supports community NRM groups to increase organisational capacity and to build natural resource management awareness, knowledge and skills. It also supports the development of community networks and collaborations between community groups and organisations.

Traditional Owner Capacity Building Activities

This project supports building the natural resource management awareness, skills and knowledge of the 16 Traditional Owner Groups of the Burdekin Dry Tropics Region.

Supporting the Traditional Owner Management Group

This project supports the framework and functions of the Traditional Owner Management Group.

Supporting Country Based Management Planning

This project supports the development of Country Based Management Plans (CBMP) by Traditional Owner Groups that can be used as a primary resource  in all aspects of land management. 

Supporting the Development of Cultural Heritage Knowledge Information Systems

This project identifies the types of traditional and cultural information and knowledge that need to be captured, stored and shared between Traditional Owners and the wider community and develops a system that allows this to occur in an effective and timely manner.

Facilitating the Integration of Traditional Owner Cultural Knowledge and Values

This project supports the integration of Traditional Owner knowledge and values across other stakeholder natural resource management activities.
