Community involvement

Community and industry involvement is seen as critical to the successful development of the grazing lands component of the BDT Water Quality Improvement Plan (WQIP). Throughout the WQIP developmental phase, wide stakeholder input and consultation will be sought through a variety of methods including:

  • Local radio and newspaper
  • Landcare committee meetings
  • Industry Workshops
  • BDTNRM field days
  • Internet
  • Mail outs
  • On-farm visits
  • Fact sheets
  • Phone and email

Due to the importance of the WQIP to both industry and community, stakeholder participation is strongly encouraged and equally welcome.

On-farm visits can be arranged and individuals requiring specific information regarding the grazing lands component of the WQIP, or wishing to become involved in the developmental phase, should contact the grazing lands Project Officer .
