Townsville City Council and BDTNRM have joined forces
with the Wildlife Preservation Society of
Queensland (WPSQ) to develop a local Quoll Seekers Network
(QSN). The project seeks to gain an understanding of the
endangered northern quoll populations in the Townsville region and
will:
1. Develop community awareness and appreciation of
northern quolls in the Townsville area
2. Collect and present information on northern quoll
populations in the Townsville area
Project update:
Townsville City Council hosted the launch of the Quoll
Seekers Network on May 31st, 2008. The
launch included a presentation and survey workshop,
followed by a field survey the following day to Toonpan. If
you are interested in attending, other events, or for more
information on the Quoll Seekers Network in Townsville, or quolls
