Wadda Mulli, My name is Leah Saltner. My father is a Juru
and Bindal Traditional Owner from the Birri-gubba tribe and my
mother is a South Sea Islander woman. I was born in Ayr and raised
in a little place called Brandon (5km North of Ayr). I joined the
Burdekin Dry Tropics in late January 2006 after living in Brisbane
for five years working in various government agencies. I’m
employed as the Land & Sea Management Coordinator for the
Burdekin Dry Tropics and I support Traditional Owners within the
Burdekin NRM region with land and sea management activities for
country.
