Linda Hygate

Programme Coordinator – Land, Soils and Agriculture

Linda arrived in North Queensland in December 2007 after a career working in the southern Australian wool industry as an agricultural advisor and specialist in sheep and beef genetics.  Linda was born in Victoria and grew up in South Australia, where holidays were spent along the Murray River and the South Australian outback.  After graduating from university, Linda lived in western NSW, eastern Victoria and lastly Melbourne, where she worked for the state government and then the University of Melbourne.

Linda holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Hons), a Graduate Diploma of Agricultural Economics and has recently completed the requirements for a Master of Environment. 

Linda is a graduate of the Australian Rural Leadership Program.
