Bob Frazer

Bob commenced as CEO of Burdekin Dry Tropics NRM in May 2005 and brings to the role more than 10 years experience in leadership and senior management of community based, not for profit companies.  With an early background of study in the social sciences, Bob has more recently undertaken postgraduate studies in community development, environmental science and economics, graduating from Central Queensland University in 2004 with the degree of Master of Sustainable Regional Development.

Bob is a 1989 Churchill Fellow, was awarded the National Medal in 1991 for his contribution to policing in Australia, and in 2002 received the Centenary Medal for his work with the disability community in Queensland.  More recently, Bob was a member of the Australian Government Ministerial Reference Group for Future NRM Programme Delivery.

Bob has maintained his voluntary involvement in disability, health and community development issues, and when not working or volunteering, Bob enjoys travel, camping, fishing and crabbing, and relaxing with his family and friends.
